Discover our back story!
My name is Daniel Embleton
Hello
I am a surface pattern designer who has recently graduated with a BA (Hons) Textiles and Surface Design during the summer. I love to create designs and imagery that is dramatic, sophisticated, bold and thought provoking. My work is mainly created digitally with hand rendered imagery being the initial starting point, usually fine liner. Most of my subject matter is the natural world and tropical environments which I have found fascinating whilst visiting Kew Gardens and museums. You will find that most of the designs have a historical look to them as I was mainly inspired by Victorian exploration and the plants that they discovered.
After my degree I have gone onto being an award-winning surface pattern freelance designer and have enjoyed working with international galleries and trade shows. In my spare time you can find me gardening, traveling, cooking, and visiting museums, which often inspire new collections of designs adding personality and charm to my artwork.
