This Hematite is from Cumbria where this rare formation is called Kidney Ore named after the stones that are formed in human kidneys. The stone is very heavy for its size and this is due to the density of the metal. Each piece has not be altered other than lightly cleaned so any reflective or shiny surfaces on the stone is entirely natural and unaltered.
